This familiar Appalachian melody was found in an old hidden shaker hymnal and brought to life in Aaron Copeland’s most famous work. There are very few challenging arrangements of this haunting yet familiar melody, and this particular Robbins edition is not only a recital favorite but a requirement for many state audition lists including NYSSMA.
