Antimicrobial activity is one of the most important properties of many essential oils. Litsea cubeba, which comes from a tree grown in Taiwan exhibits a number of antimicrobial and antifungal properties and is currently being studied for use as a safe antimicrobial additive in food. Lavender essential oil is known among other things for its antimicrobial and antifungal properties. The pleasing floral scent of Lavender and the bright citrusy fragrance of Litsea Cubeba blend well in this soap.
