Bromine granules for use as a disinfectant in your hot tub A disinfectant or sanitiser such as bromine/chlorine is essential to kill bacteria and other potentially harmful organisms Your FBr (Free Bromine) should be maintained at 2-4mg/l (ppm) To raise the Free Bromine level, add the bromine granules as per directions on the label Please Note: In order for the bromine to be effective a pH level of 7.2 must be maintained ALWAYS add bromine to water and NOT water to chlorine as this can be very dangerous
